Hi my name's Steve. My favorite colour is blue and I'm a Taurus.

If everyone on the boards could put a little post in hear to let everyone know who they are (especially if they're using a pseudonym) then we can avoid any future confusion with new members.

Hi all,

I'm John.

Most of you already know me. I tend to be the one who drives the Land Rover and organises the command tent.

Hi all, I'm Doug and I've been lumbered playing Jag for the last five years (so much for a throw-away-first-character) and I'll be needing some Rituals both at the first event and most likely at Renewal.

I'm logging on here to give a "wave" to ArcaneAlys who asked me to give a shout for Jen here.

Jen, this is the guy I told you about who contacted me on the CP forum.
I think I recall the consensus was we'd need to talk about this IC at an event?

Hi all, I am Wes and will be joining you for the next event, i know some of you either through work or role play, i have alot of role play experiance over the last 8 years or so but been out of touch of late due to a huge oppresive almighty thumb, i have escaped that control freak now and cant wait to get back in to the action.
Although i tried my chain mail on the other day in 2 years and nearly fell over. looking forward to meeting you all again or for the first time.

Hello.

I'm Tom, formerly played the Royal Scribe Deckard Cain. Great place you have here guys. Feel free to submit any of this stuff on paper to the Library, all the more fun to fill it up with random documents.

See you all next event?

Cheers

No that's classified, that's why it's not on the website Smile Although anything and everything on the website could could indeed by added to the library, but that requires printing and I'm really, really, lazy Rolling Eyes

Don't we all!

I wouldn't worry too much about printing stuff off, but if you get time, some of the bits about your founding would be great.

I guess I will get to meet all your new characters at Fayre, with my new character too! Very Happy

Yes...No one will ever look at them once they are in the Library. If the Library gets stolen again, nobody will read it then anyway!Rolling Eyes

My name's Mike, im 22, work at Ladbrokes(yippee), and an all round nice guy.

Look forward to meeting you guys at the event!

I don't know if I actually want to join the unit or just tag along with you guys cos I know you. I'm still thinking about it, despite Jen taking advantage of me while inebriated. Embarassed

I do like the hat and coat, I don't like the idea of someone giving me orders. They won't like what I'll say when they give me orders either.

However, I've never roleplayed before and I like the idea of hitting nerds with a metal sword wrapped in gaffa tape. I'll see you there.

Nick

I have an idea for a concept and I'll probably join the unit for the CP events of 2008.

Hello Nick, if you dont like taking orders then dont join the AT, seriously, Now if your charecter does not like taking orders then role play him that way, but be warned we just had a court martial at the last event, on the other hand you could be part of the ship crew but they are not AT and thus dont wear the hats and coat as a uniform.

I follow orders on a case by case basis, and in most cases I don't.

Not that anyone is gonna be surprised by that.

Ahem. I didn't get orders from you... Probably wouldn't have followed them anyway! Wink Now if somebody asked nicely...

TBF a lot of people seemed happy to volunteer to do stuff rather than being ordered to do it - or so I thought - especially if it involved the potential to job a few monsters en route!

I was doing sneaky scouty stuff and rituals.. It makes a lot of difference actually deciding how things should be done rather than just being a spod, I must say.

I didnt give any orders because everyone pretty much did what needed to be done, we were quite self disciplined in that respect! Smile

Another way to dodge orders is to be somewhere else.... Like the pub.

There is only one order at the pub.

GARGLE 10
SWILL 10
GARGLE 10
SWILL 10
HOLD
BREATH IN THROUGH TEETH
SWALLOW

Hello Nick, if you dont like taking orders then dont join the AT, seriously, Now if your charecter does not like taking orders then role play him that way, but be warned we just had a court martial at the last event, on the other hand you could be part of the ship crew but they are not AT and thus dont wear the hats and coat as a uniform.

I have no intention of joining the ships crew if they don't wear the hat and coat. Best if I just join the AT and then see what happens. My character concept is sound enough to meander my way through most eventualities without annoying too many people. Anyone that knows me will understand the kind of characters I play and what I do best. For the rest of you, well it'll be educational.

In the battle? That was because I was passing on orders from the captain that we should stick together... Besides, if you were hit once, you'd have died, we were all the chosen men! Rolling Eyes

no not in THE battle, when the camp got attaked, i was skirmising on the path with the cross bow, we had a long discusion mate, i wanted you tell tell me what were ment to do if we had no magic, no armour , only ranged weapons and swords, all you kept saying was well we are not skirmishers
In fact the only time i got hit at the gate guard was when i was crushed in with the tanks, yes you are right on that front mate i got hit once and was well aware i had no armour but i had no where to move to, thus the question still stands seargent
