New character stuff...

This year rather than start a new AT Character I figured I would re-use my Santa Maria crew member (BTW was looking up old maritime superstitions online and apparently it is terrible bad luck to have a ship with a name that ends with an A)
There seems to be no activity on the santa maria so was just wondering what was happening with the old girl.
I still want to hang with you guys IC but I really don't relish the idea of playing another magic user.

I suspect the concept is still alive but Simon, who was running it, hasn't been to any events for some long time and I am not sure of his continuing interest.

Kim and a couple of the others were thinking of coming along as ship's crew. I can't see a problem with doing that although if you don't have some sort of command tent (read Gazebo or similar) then you may find yourselves being rather often booted out of the AT facilities when we have to discuss our own group stuff.

The others were aware of this as they came along to our meeting a week or more ago and it was raised then.

You could always do what various others have done... take minimal magic skills (a drop of healing is pretty handy) and maybe some armour/body dev... Then you could still wear the hat & coat....

... and have access to free tea.

Thats cool was going to ask around and see if there were any gazeebo's floating around.
Whilst I love the AT, I really just wanted to try something a bit different. I am willing to accept the ostracizm lol!
Quite simply I like hanging out with yous guys and wish to be attached to the group, but not part of the AT hierachy for a little while. If I die, which lets face it with my track record is pretty likely! then I will probably rejoin.
The idea of playing a double body dev tank is quite appealing and if I can re-invigorate the Santa Maria while i'm at it all the better.

I have talked to Doich and he is more than happy for me to be acting Captain in his stead.
The story that seems to be most popular is - The crew went monster hunting and in true Beowulf style our heroic Captain decided to fight it naked! The crew has a new rule... No matter what, when fighting, it is NEVER naked time!.
If Simon is able to come back we can have a funny moment where he aproches (wearing some fetching monster skin boots) an chew us out for leaving him alone at sea!

I was thinking of really pushing the whole AT rejects/dirty dozen thing and just creating a place where people can chill if their character dies, just have a bit of a laugh and so on.
Maybe making a gambling tent off the main AT area?
