Mage Journeyman Alys of the Green

Gunn found Alys in the Forest west of Oxford after weeks chasing up a rumour of a "Witch of the Woods". She was living in a simple turf shelter when he found her but it quickly became plain that this was an educated woman who could not only cast simple shaman spells but read and write too. If Gunn knows how she came to be in this situation he hasn't told anyone and so far Alys hasn't been forthcoming on the subject either.
Rumour has it she was married once and had connections with York. Apart from that, little is known and nobody so far has had the courage to ask.

Alys can be good company at times with a store of tall tales and ribald songs but at others she is cold and distant. At those times it's best to tread carefully around her or you may find yourself inexplicably running for the tall timber...
